| In Bayou Felix we see many large bulls laying on logs and along the bank napping in the sun. The Great Egrets and the bayou edges still as statues waiting on lunch. During the winter months the American White Pelicans flock on the lakes and the Double-crested Cormorant gather in the trees with their wings out stretched to dry. I can take you to a camp where you can walk along a logging bayou in the swamp where you will see an old steam logging locomotive used a hundred years ago. See and feel Spanish moss and learn what it was used for years ago. The Louisiana Wild Iris will be blooming in mid April back in the swamps. What a site to see! So if you're ever in the area and up for a real adventure, give me a call and let me make it happen. |
